Trepat grape: The 50 year old vines are located on our 2 hectare property "Finca Els Corrals", with organic loam soil, located at 410 meters above sea level and near the river Anguera. This situation offers excellent geological conditions for the cultivation of our Trepat grapes.
Trepat grape: A variety native to La Conca de Barberà, with large compact bunches. It shoots early in the spring and ripens late. It is sensitive to spring frosts and has low drought-resistance, making it more at home in fresher, cooler soils. Relatively high-yield production, producing light, fresh, fruity wines.
Organically produced and harvested, eliminating excess production. CARLANIA CELLER uses trusted varieties indigenous to the area, and we consider it important to maintain and promote varieties that grow close to the earth we cultivate. So, all our wines are made with a variety of grape native to the DO Conca de Barbera area, the Trepat grape.
Meticulous control of the ripening process, paying special attention to the taste of the grapes. Hand-picked at peak ripeness, with grape selection in the vineyard. Fermented at a temperature of 23-25 °C with a maceration of 8 to 15 days depending on the maturity of each grape variety.
6-8 months in French oak barrels.
Deep cherry red. Aromas of ripe red fruits, with delicate spicy hints. Sweet feel in the mouth with a full consistent finish.
Serving temperature: 16-18ºC.
